Yup I knew it was coming out in May but last i had heard they had a diff title, and i didnt know the track listing Its one of the few Cds im salvating at the mouth to hear

AND I just learned today that Weiland is releasing a live album at the end of March itll have solo stuff from the first two albums plus I believe a STP and a VR track in there. Along with a Janes Addiction Cover

even entered the contest on Rolling Stone.com to win a trip to the first show where they are gonna perform the new material

Great STP tune! Catchy and Rockin' with a killer solo!!!

Great Beatles-esque feel and sound to it. I love this, Definitly will be getting the album when it comes out (like there was any doubt)

will do, I got the deluxe version which comes with 4 bonus tracks, a booklet and a poster. Ive yet to spin it all the way through once. but Im liking it so far.... Itll probobly be on the June Update of my site

LOL you know me its gonna get at least a 8 out of 10 just because its STP, my car CD player doesnt like the disk been having problems where it wont play certain disks or if they do play they skip on the smallest bump, then i got some where I have no probls sadly it dont like my new STP album so I might just have to make a copy of it so I can crank it today

My car player does that with some discs too. Weird.

BTW, ESPN has been using an STP song during some of their highlight clips. I'll have to pay closer attention to see which one it is.

I think im gonna ask for a stereo for my birthday too, one that's Ipod Compatible

Get this..... my boss called me tonight trying to get me to take a call for this weekend that is 50 plus miles away FUNK THAT, It really pissed me off they tried loading me up yesterday and now Im on vacation they try when Im actually am on vacation. one reason why I took the vacation when I did is because its the same time as I do, plus Im starting to feel burn out, theyre making some ridiculous things they want us to have all our calls updated by 1030, when we close a call they want it done within an hour of doing the service call. That would be fine if they gave me something with internet access that i can take on the road. Its getting fucking ridickudonkolous so im glad to be on vacation they want us to get IBM laptop certified, Dell Printer and Server certified (the servers i dont mind so much) but printers are a different animal. I think its about time to start trying to find something else again...... might feel better after the vaca.

On my site ill be giving this a 10/10 and I wrote a lengthly review I think its one of the best i've ever written. Course I used Wikipedia for some of the information but I was proud of how that came out. It's going to be on my June update of Rock City but Im gonna post it here before I put it on the site hehe.....

Almost 10 years since Shangri-La Dee Dah came out, Their Self Titled Album is a collection of 12 tracks (16 if you got the deluxe version) saying only one thing "STONE TEMPLE PILOTS is Back!" Another one of my favorites from this album Hickory Dichotomy was best described as a Country song in a rock format. Dare If You Dare another one of my favorites, Remember what I said about Harmonies this song is a classic example of that, I just love the chorus. Cinnamon is a light hearted catchy poppy tune, One of the members of STP would even use the word Psychedelic. Me, its definitely a side of STP you don't see. Totally kicking song. Hazy Daze to me is very reminiscent of the first album in sound. Lyrically according to Wikipedia, the song is about Weiland's father First Kiss on Mars I love this song, would put it in my top 3 favorites on this album. Looking in Retrospect if you listen to this and to their release from 2001, you can almost tell that the band was not working cohesively as they could have been, Shangri La Dee Dah just seems to reek that the end was near. Its a good album mind you, but then you listen to this album and you can tell the band is in that cohesiveness again, Maybe a bit older and wiser but this album is a great return to form. With the deluxe edition this album comes with 1 bonus track Samba Nova which reminds me of Scott Weiland's solo stuff especially from the 12 Bar Blues sessions. Has a Jazzy feel to it as does the pre-order tune About a Fool which for the record I do not have. The other bonus tracks are live tracks from their Live in Chicago performance, I hope they release that as a DVD down the road that would rule. Anyways, The live tracks are Vasoline from their second album Purple and Between the Lines, and Hickory Dichotomy from this release. A Must have for ALL STP Fans

Thanks its going on the next update, been cranking that CD all day today well until the wife came home and wanted to play her cd (which shes been playing for days now) She got a unofficial soundtrack to Zombieland (they never made a proper one) Thats how I came upon The Doves

I finally got it today! Mine is a Target exclusive that includes the bonus track and 3 live bonus tracks that Addy mentioned in his reveiw as well as a DVD!!!

Whats on the DVD cuz now Im jealous

I think it is a 1/2 hour of Live from Chicago footage but I'm not sure! I will probably watch it tonight and I will let you know!!!

OK! Here's the deal! The Bonus DVD includes an interveiw, live video performances of Between the Lines and Vaseline, the making of the Between the Lines video and a radio interveiw!!!

BTW, although I am not a huge fan like Addy, I do like STP alot and can say that, for me, this is their best album ever!!! My current fav tracks are: Between the Lines, Huckleberry Crumble, Dare If You Dare, Hazy Daze and Peacoat! AND, my absolute favorite: Hickory Dichotomy!!!

Addy, I LOVE the Bowiesque verses of First Kiss on Mars but the chorus just kinda leaves me flat!

You can tell the band's cohesiveness is back, plus Weiland's said in interviews and stuff that this is his job that its no longer a party anymore, Weiland was on a roll according to one of the DeLeo brothers as Scott was sending demos of vox and harmonies daily sometimes on multiple songs. Plus his vox is strong on this album I think
