I know most people here HATE this show! Personally I crawl through the crap year after year to hear the little nuggets I LOVE! That being said...

I agree about Crystal but I couldn't watch this week. R&B week with Usher? Pass.

OK, the Cardinals are playing a West Coast schedule this week so I'm stuck watching prime time programming. So tonight I'm watching the finale of American Idol (I bailed on this season as soon as baseball season started).

This show got off to a great start with Orianthi on guitar shredding away to "School's Out" and then Alice Cooper himself appeared.

However, we've since disintegrated to various Idol finalists singing with the BeeGees. Bleccccch!!!

Oh great, now we have an aging Michael McDonald (who I think totally ruined the Doobie Brothers but his older music isn't half bad) singing with the steroid monkey.

After Christina Aguilera, it's a really sad commentary that the appearance of Hall And Oates is a welcome relief.

BTW, Hall still sounds pretty good after all these years.

I can't stand Alannis Morissette but Crystal really held her own with her on the same stage IMO.

The only AI alum album I have is Daughtry. It's pretty good but also pretty generic.

I have Bo Bice's album and he is talented but it is very generic songwriting, and Kelly Clarkson has a good pop voice and some of her songs are good.

I actually find myself liking some of Carrie Underwood's songs too. The new one she did last night on AI was as much southern rock as country IMO.
