It really has become an obsession on my part. Not on CL in particular (although she's the first one I look for) but on the audience in general.
Now that I know 99% of them are actors and actresses, I keep scoping out the audience. Who knows, I might be seeing the next victim in Saw 10.

Wednesday I dropped Tux off at the vet for a routine dental cleaning. Went to pick him up at 5pm and just as they were putting him into his carrier, he started panting. They took his temp and it was 107 (normal is 102). They quickly started an IV drip, gave him a benedryl injection and sprayed his pads with alcohol all to try to cool him off. Turns out he had an allergic reaction to either the anesthetic of the painkiller they gave him. Since there was no telling how long the reaction would last, I had to take him to a 24 hour emergency clinic where the monitored him all night Wednesday. They took his temp every hour on the hour. His temp normalized around 1:00 am Thursday morning.
I picked him up Friday afternoon and brought him home. About 5 minutes after I let him out of his carrier he started drooling thick strands of saliva. This went on for about 3 hours. I called my vet and took him back in. His temp was normal and they decided the drooling was probably still part of his reaction plus the general irritation of the dental procedures. They monitored him for the next 2 1/2 hours and he was fine. I brought him home last night around 6:30 and he's seemed fine ever since. He's sleeping a lot but that's to be expected since Wednesday night he had somebody waking him up every hour and sticking a thermometer up his butt. He's been eating some and has used the litterbox twice so far so I think he's just resting up.
The funny thing is Godiva's reaction. She starts sniffing him then yowls, hisses and runs away. It's obvious she recognizes "the smell of Cat Hell" on him.

She actually finally started grooming his head again tonight. Normally she's very "mothering" but she's really leery while he has "that smell" (oooooo...that smell!....can't you smell that smelll!!!).
Back on topic, CL was on JJ again today in "hair up" mode. I'm like Homer Simpson...

Ask them what they used to put them under ..Boxers are highly sensitive to this: WARNING! Is your boxer having a surgical procedure or needing to be tranquilized? MUST READ!
Acepromazine
There is one drug used in anesthetic protocols that should not be used on the Boxer. That drug is Acepromazine, a tranquilizer that is often used as a preanesthetic agent. In the Boxer, it tends to cause a problem called first degree heart block, a potentially serious arrhythmia of the heart. It also causes a profound hypotension (severe lowering of the blood pressure) in many Boxers that are given the drug. Recently on the Veterinary Information Network, a computer network for practicing veterinarians, an announcement was placed in the cardiology section entitled "Acepromazine and Boxers". This described several adverse reactions to the drug in a very short time span at a Veterinary Teaching Hospital. All the adverse reactions were in Boxers. The reactions included collapse, respiratory arrest, and profound bradycardia (slow heart rate, less than 60 beats per minute). The announcement suggested that acepromazine should not be used in dogs of the Boxer breed because of a breed related sensitivity to the drug.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Further warning from a boxer breeder and veterinarian: This drug is the most commonly prescribed tranquilizer in veterinary medicine. It is also used orally and is prescribed for owners who want to tranquilize their dogs for air travel. I would strongly recommend that Boxer owners avoid the use of this drug, especially when the dog will be unattended and/or unable to receive emergency medical care if it is needed.

I've been real busy at work lately and haven't had as much time to watch JJ but today was an exception.
So I'm scanning the audience on today's episode and I see the Clown Lady, the TanningObsessed Lady and everyone's "favorite", The Witch but no Court Lady.
Then as the case ends and the camera pans out to watch the litigants leave the courtroom, lo and behold, there she is! She's been relegated to an aisle seat well out of camera shot and only visible when the camera pans the entire courtroom audience.
I totally blame The King for this. Court Lady wouldn't play his "onion ring" game and he's had her blackballed and banished off-camera until she gives in to his evil perversions.
I'm coming for you King!

the real reason is that she kept going on and on about toho whie we were eating at the Italian resturant. The nerve!! When you have someone who has the looks, wit, charm and the Crown - why settle for, well, less??? TheKing has no time for chicks who dont pay attention to TheKing. In today's rerun (which BTW is still shown in chronological order) she was back in prime position right behind the plaintiff's head. So after several episodes with Court Lady nowhere to be seen, she finally showed up yesterday "by accident". Then all of a sudden today, she's back in the main camera angle and on the other side? Since her previous favorite position was on the defendant's side, I can only assume she finally caved in to The KIng's wishes.
I hate The King. And I will never eat onion rings again.
